About Us
Crystal Studios was built in 1985 by Ray Brooks as a personal studio but that didn't last long. Soon the studio was over-run with groups and solo artist of all types trying to get in to record. It wasn't long before the demands of clients forced the studio to become a full time operation. Since those humble beginnings the studio has seen a lot of changes but one thing hasn't changed: The desire to make great music. It doesn't matter if you are a new artist starting out or you are already a national star, you will always be treated with the professionalism that you deserve. At Crystal Studios it's not about who you are but it's about the music.....it's the music that truly matters.
Crystal Studios current set-up includes professional multi-track digital recorders, a digital mixing console, a nice assortment of pro-microphones and most of the outboard gear and effects you will ever need. The main recording area consist of a drum room, main recording/tracking room and control room. Studio guest can watch from the control room or hang out in the lounge.
Crystal Studios is quietly tucked away in Bryant, Arkansas at 2307 Brandon Rd. and is conveniently located near 4 major hotel chains and all the restaurants you could want. For those clients who travel in style, we have parking space for buses and motorhomes.
Owner Ray Brooks is also currently the media specialist at First Baptist Church in Hot Springs, AR. Prior to that he was the staff audio engineer at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR from 2007 to 2017 and was the special tech assistant at First Baptist Little Rock from 2019 to 2021.
